Jessica Juarez

Sales, Neighborly

Originally from South Texas, Jessica Juarez is a proud-albeit transplanted-Wacoan since 2002. A bilingual and culturally-competent thought leader, Jessica uses her privilege to serve and advocate for her community. Professionally she considers herself a creative who always seems to circle back to the sales space. Jessica’s sales experience includes radio, sponsorship, B2B, and peer-to-peer. Currently she oversees social media sales for a handful of brands at Neighborly. She’s also an affiliate of DVTD®, a marketplace with a mission that offers carefully curated products for the socially-conscious shopper. Jessica is a proud member of Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc. She previously managed licensing agreements and fundraising for the organization, and is now a lifetime donor. Jessica’s deeply interested in racial equity and voters’ rights. As such Jessica recently joined the League of Women Voters. She’s an alumna of Leadership Plenty and Racial Equity Institute, and completed fundraiser training with Pursuant and Waco Foundation. Two years ago Jessica joined Women United, an affiliate of United Way of Waco/McLennan County that is charged with fundraising for women-focused programming. She’s served on United Way’s Community Investment Council and Scholarship Committee. Earlier this year, Jessica joined the Board of Directors and United Way’s Campaign Cabinet. Jessica also volunteers as a board member of the Heart O’ Texas Fair & Rodeo. Since 2012 she’s served in various committees including Special Events where she was recognized as Rookie of the Year. In 2018, Jessica was given the opportunity to create and chair the Esperanza Committee. This committee’s purpose is to increase Latino participation in fair events and agriculture education. Due to the hard work of the committee members in promoting the fair and reaching multicultural audiences, Esperanza earned the Committee of the Year award for 2019. Jessica was also recognized with the Ridin’ for the Brand award, HOT Fair’s highest honor. This award is especially meaningful to Jessica since she’s only the 5th woman to receive it in the fair’s 68 years of existence.
